The story
In the shadow of Notre Dame Cathedral, the kind-hearted but deformed Quasimodo longs for acceptance while serving the cruel Archdeacon Frollo. When the beautiful and free-spirited Esmeralda captures their hearts, Frollo’s obsession turns dangerous, leading to betrayal and tragedy. Captain Phoebus, torn between duty and love, fights to protect Esmeralda as tensions rise in the city. In a powerful climax of sacrifice and courage, Quasimodo defies his master to save Esmeralda, proving that true beauty lies within.

 

Scenes


Prologue – The Bells of Notre Dame
A Gypsy Father switches his deformed infant, Quasimodo, with the wealthy woman’s baby, Esmeralda, and abandons Quasimodo at Notre Dame, where the priest takes him in as the bells toll.


Paris Awakens – Merchants & Nobility
The streets of Paris come alive with merchants selling their goods while Madame Gulude and her friends flirt with Phoebus and his guards.


Gypsies & The Feast of Fools
The vibrant festival of the Feast of Fools turns cruel when Quasimodo is crowned the “King of Fools” and mocked by the crowd, only for Esmeralda to step in and show him kindness.


Prayers at Notre Dame – Frollo Struggles as His Obsession Develops


Esmeralda Dances
Esmeralda captivates the crowd with her free-spirited dance, drawing Frollo’s attention.


Frollo Sends Quasimodo to Capture Her


Esmeralda’s Nightmare – Quasimodo and the Creatures Quasimodo Defies Frollo and Frollo Orders His Capture

Esmeralda Shows Quasimodo Kindness
Esmeralda, trapped in Notre Dame, offers Quasimodo compassion and friendship, deepening their bond.


Frollo Tortured by Desire and Jealousy
Frollo wrestles with his inner turmoil, torn between his duty and his obsessive desire for Esmeralda.


Esmeralda and Phoebus Fall in Love despite the dangers surrounding them.


Quasimodo Dances with Esmeralda
In a moment of freedom, Quasimodo dances with Esmeralda, his deep affection for her evident as they share a poignant connection.


Esmeralda is Saved
Phoebus and Quasimodo heroically save Esmeralda from certain death, protecting her from Frollo’s wrath.


True Parentage Revealed
The truth about Quasimodo and Esmeralda’s true heritage is revealed, and their tragic destinies come full circle.
